From Bad to Worse

This was a bad day. I'm not even going to try to put things in order because so many bad things happened they are all jumbled in my brain. I know that it did start out with me getting lost on my way to work. I know the way to work. I drive it daily and have driven this route for about a year and a half now. Today I found myself asking where am I? and how did I get here? I turned onto a road today. I have no clue which one, but it was the wrong way. I was late to work. I'm never late to work. I guess I was thinking about how behind I have gotten at work. Everything feels so out of control. I have almost an entire rookie staff, no one but me and my assistant mgr. knows all that needs to get done. It is a lot. Planner, which is about 3 days of work was already supposed to be done. I need to be trained to run the Ticketmaster machine. I have a review coming up next week that I am NOT ready for because my store is a wreck. My staff is small and inexperienced. Shipment needs to get put out. Dust is gathering. Paperwork is piling up. I need trained on the LVS that were recently installed in the store. Awesome machines that let you sample any CD or DVD in the store! Anyway, I decided to advertise the fact we now have that capability and hang signs. They are big signs, and they were difficult to hang. While I was in the process, I noticed that my Cd browser in the middle of the store was covered with remnants of the ceiling that caved in from an apparent leak in the roof. That took a little while to clean up. Then the phone rang. The back door buzzed. My associate called off, bad toothache. The HUGE shipment arrived. Planner still needs done. The printer ran out of paper and all 12 documents backed up and got lost somewhere in the computer. My pants tore on the magazine rack. Had to buy new ones today. Then I had to open the store. It's hard to put on a happy customer service face when I only want to scream! Then of course I had another brush with the ignorant mean people of this society who just topped off my day by being rude. I couldn't take much more. Had to call my roommate to warn her not to call me with any bad news. She called, but didn't give me any bad news. Teh bad news was awaiting me when I got home. Isadore is in my bedroom. Yep, remnants of Izzy are pooled on my bedroom floor. That's gonna be fun to clean up. The dogs won't go outside in the rain to do what dogs do...doo doo. So Tiffany had surprises in her room. I took them outside by telling them "want to go for a walk?" They were excited to go for a walk in the rain...what's the difference? It's still wet! They won't go out to pee, but they will to walk? I don't understand dogs. Well, now I'm trying to decide if I want to go to bed in my room, or sleep elsewhere. It's rather moist in my room. Moist. Moist cake. Cool word. Moist. I WANT SOME CAKE!!!!

I had some not so Christ-like thoughts today. I feel so ashamed. God loves me no less. HOW DOES HE DO THAT?

YAY! Cherub is back! She's my assistant and when she's on vacation, she's missed. Oh, to finally have a day off yesterday to worship my Lord. It was a very relaxing day and topped it off with a great time at SaLT group. I love my SaLT groups! Today at work I went in excited that Cherub was back and that I might be able to get on top of the workload, but more load kept coming in! I'm beginning to think I will never be on top of things again. Getting the Ticketmaster maching tomorrow and then I have to schedule training on that thing for me and all my associates. Also getting the LVS units which will be AWESOME so all customers can sample ANY CD in the store! But, it's gonna take time getting them installed and trained on them. Planner is due this week, HA! Like that's gonna get done on time! Busy, busy, busy. That's me. I can't wait until my next day off!
