Services will be held at: Services will be 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 7, 2005, at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, 2900 Hoover Ave., in Ames. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery at Colo.

Visitation times are: The visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge and then one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the church. There will be a vigil for the deceased at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Brad is survived by his wife Tracy; children, Amber Niland, Woodward; Kaela Littzen and Ty Littzen, both of Fort Dodge; his parents, John and Joan Niland, Colo; a sister Julee (Gregory) Williams, Richfield, Minn.; a brother, Brent (Sandy) Niland, West Des Moines; three nephews, Michael, Connor and Patrick and other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Jackie Crippin, four brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and his beloved pet dog Sophie. Brad was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his father-in-law David Crippin. J. Bradley Niland was born Sept. 13, 1961, at Ames. He graduated from Colo High School in 1980 and then from Iowa State University in 1984. He was a manager for Musicland/Sam Goody for many years in Des Moines and Ames. In Fort Dodge, he was employed with Target. On April 4, 2003, he was united in marriage to Tracy Crippin in West Des Moines. Brad was active in the Republican Party of Iowa, and he was active in the Relay for Life for cancer research. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Fort Dodge, the Iowa Central Community College Scholarship Foundation or to the City of Colo. Brad and Tracy together planned every detail of his final requests, honoring Fort Dodge, Colo and Ames, the communities where he lived his life. He will return to Colo where he will rest in peace for eternity.
